Biden condemns Israel

Joe Biden, please just STFU. 

“I condemn the decision by the government of Israel to advance planning for new housing units in East Jerusalem,” Biden said in a prepared statement. “The substance and timing of the announcement, particularly with the launching of proximity talks, is precisely the kind of step that undermines the trust we need right now and runs counter to the constructive discussions that I've had here in Israel.”

Funny, but I do believe that Israel expanding communities in IT'S OWN CAPITAL is really none of Joe Biden's damn business. He should be told to immediately recant his words, publicly, or face being expelled as a hostile.

What a complete and utter douchebag.

Baird (D-WA) calls for US strike on Israeli border

What hubris for a US congressman to go to Hamas controlled Gaza and tell students that the US should use military force to break Israel's defense barriers. The congressman, naturally a democrat, believes that Israel is guilty of war crimes and thinks the borders should be open to allow the flood of terrorism to flow unabated into the Jewish State.

Baird also felt compelled to join fellow leftist, Senator John Kerry, on a visit to Gaza after Israel's Operation Cast Lead to meet with Hamas and express sympathy with their plight.

This is tantamount to an Israeli MK from Likud going to Afghanistan after a US military operation to express support for Al Qaida, and then call for the IDF to attack US defense positions on the ground.

Baird is not seeking re-election, but MZ would like to invite him to run for mayor of Gaza City and see how popular he really is with the Islamic masses of Hamas he has such deep sympathy and affection for.

Interesting Debate at Jerusalem Conference

Been awhile, eh? Well, MZ's 43rd birthday seemed as good a time as any to resume posting, so here I am. Hope you forgive my lengthy sabbatical, but time away can really clear the mind sometimes. Special thanks to Nanc for staying in touch while I've been off doing other things.

There was a very interesting debate at the recent Jerusalem Conference in Israel that really caught my attention. The best comments (from an MZ perspective, of course) came from Dr. Aryeh Eldad, MK National Union, who clearly outlined the importance of declaring all the land occupied by Israel since the 6-Day War as Israel's permanent border and declaring Jordan officially the Palestinian State.

What impressed me the most, however, was having the Likud representative, MK Tzipi Hotovely (who is indeed quite hot and lovely) chastise her party leadership for endorsing the Two-State solution within the borders of Israel. She announced her support for declaring a single state while giving citizenship to the PA arabs.

At first glance, this could be seen as a move of weakness, but I see it as a position of strength. Making all the arabs dwelling in Judea and Samaria subjected to the fullest extent of the law according to the Jewish State, with firm borders extending to the Jordan River under the absolute control of the Israeli government, would provide a permanent solution that even the Israel loathing world leaders would likely say is fair.

From this position of strength, Israel would have many enemies within, yes, but they would be easier to police than now, where the Fatah and Hamas terrorist organizations operate completely free and independent of Israeli control.

Even under such an increase in Arab population, Israel would still maintain a majority Jewish population, and with the Law of Jewish return and an increasing Jewish birthrate, Israel would be stronger than ever.

Hasan "The Palestinian"

I haven't posted in awhile, but this one requires my attention. While incredibly unsurprising that the leftist media is yet again lamenting how a good man just "snapped", this time from listening to the horror stories of our "atrocities in Iraq", it still just sickens my soul that nothing will be done following this latest islamic attack except pour out bleeding heart sympathy upon those poor moslems who will be "demonized" for this "isolated act of insanity".

Major Hasan’s motive was perfectly clear — but it was one that the forces of political correctness and the Islamic advocacy groups in the United States have been working for years to obscure. So it is that now that another major jihad terror attack has taken place on American soil, authorities and the mainstream media are at a loss to explain why it happened – and the abundant evidence that it was a jihad attack is ignored.

Nidal Malik Hasan was born in Virginia but didn’t think of himself as an American: on a form he filled out at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, he gave his nationality not as “American” but as “Palestinian.” A mosque official found that curious, saying: “I don’t know why he listed Palestinian. He was not born in Palestine.”

He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has a doctorate in psychiatry from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. While there, NPR reports, Hasan was “put on probation early in his postgraduate work” and was “disciplined for proselytizing about his Muslim faith with patients and colleagues.”

Oh, no, not a shred of evidence that this attack could be somehow connected to islam. None whatsoever. Ignore what all the "racists" are saying, and continue to believe that Islam is a peaceful religion that's not at all related to worldwide terror.

My Terrible Hebrew

So, my wife's religious aunt from Israel is staying with my inlaws for the chagim, and she only speaks Yiddish and Hebrew. My inlaws speak fluent Yiddish and some Hebrew, and my wife speaks nearly fluent Hebrew, so there are no communication issues - for them. But me, I'm the moron who can't speak Hebrew (or Yiddish) a lick, and am completely unable to interact without their translation help. It is not making me happy.

You see, I can read Hebrew, and can pray in Hebrew, and know some words here and there in Hebrew, but as far as conversing in it I'm a complete disaster and it really pisses me off. The one thing that I've taken from this frustrating experience is the need to get off my ass and actually learn how to speak Hebrew once and for all. Consider this is my "resolution", so to speak.

Without knowing Hebrew I am unable to accomplish any of the goals I have as a Jew, both religiously and logistically. The time has come to climb this great mountain once and for all, so expect my posts in the future to include updates on my progress with this mission.

Anyhow, I had a very meaningful and enjoyable Rosh Hashana, and am very much looking forward to the rest of the holy days over the next few weeks. A special thank you to Nanc for checking in with me during my sabatical from blogging - I really do appreciate it.

Illegal Arab squatters to be expelled

A ridiculously belated ruling to be sure, but still nice to see the illegal scum being tossed out like the pigs that they are.

Yitzchak Herskovitz, 78, has won a critical battle in his 16-year legal struggle to regain control of his property from Arab squatters in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem District Court ruled in his favor that the contested property, in southern Jerusalem’s Givat HaMatos neighborhood, in fact belongs to him.

Herskovitz must now begin the complex process of having the illegal trespassers removed from the site. It appears clear that the police will have to be involved, and/or that the squatters will appeal the ruling yet again.
