Ex-IDF Chief rips Sharon; IDF soldier killed by moslem filth

When Ariel Sharon's former IDF chief declares Sharon's decision to ethnically cleanse the Jews and hand Gaza over to the terrorist moslems was really just a selfish ploy to sleaze out of criminal persecution, it certainly carries substantial weight.
Arutz Sheva: Lt.-Gen. (ret.) Moshe Yaalon, IDF Chief of Staff until the implementation of the Gaza withdrawal, says that the entire Disengagement was conceived to save PM Sharon from legal troubles.

“The Disengagement was not the result of thorough strategic analysis, but the result of [then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s] political distress," Yaalon said in an interview to be published in full in Haaretz this weekend. “It was a disengagement from reality and a disengagement from the truth."

Though such a claim has been made in the past, including by two prominent journalists Ofer Shelah and Raviv Drucker in their book Boomerang, this is the first time an official who was privy to the Sharon regime from the inside has cited such motives.

"The process created an illusionary hope," Yaalon said, "which was not planned strategically and practically. The Disengagement was mainly a media spin. Those who initiated it and lead it lacked the strategic, security, political and historical background. They were image counselors and spin doctors. These people put Israel into a virtual spin, disconnected from reality, using a media spin campaign which is imploding before our eyes."

"There is no doubt that the Disengagement failed,” Yaalon said. The entire withdrawal and expulsion of 10,000 Jewish residents from Gaza and northern Samaria “was an internal Israeli game that ignored what's going on outside Israel.”

So, what is the legacy of Sharon's grand capitulation? Expelling the Jews from Israel has brought over 500 Qassam missiles into Sderot, plus two more missiles recently slamming into Ashkelon to the north. It has brought about kidnappings, too, not to mention a little thing like bringing Hamas into power.

In addition, it has allowed Al Qaida to freely form terrorist cells in Judenrein Gaza, and allowed two suicide bombers into interior Israel - one in Netaya and one in Tel Aviv - causing terrible casualties. Oh, it has also allowed Egypt to pump into Gaza massive arms supplies to wage more deadly strikes against the Jews.

Lest we not forget the staggering economic impact of the Gaza retreat. Gaza was Israel's fruit basket, remember, supplying the majority of Israel's produce sold for export from the ingeniously designed greenhouses that the islamic vermin destroyed within 24 hours of Sharon's capitulation.

Did I forget to mention the humanitarian disaster? Uh, it seems the Jews who were deported from Gaza are by and large still homeless and hungry, while the terrorist vermin receive hundreds of millions in aid and benefits.

One more thing: Another Jew was murdered by the moslem scum today. This time it was sniper fire from what had once been a successful Jewish settlement before the expulsion. 21 yr old Yehuda Bassal was the victim.

Ynet News: An IDF soldier was killed Thursday noon by terrorist fire in the Atatara area south of the Dugit settlement in northern Gaza.

Staff Sergeant Yehuda Bassel, 21, of Moshav Yinon, was killed during an exchange of fire in northern Gaza. Bassal sustained head injuries and died at the Soroka hospital in Beer Sheva.

The soldier was shot in the head by snipers and sustained critical wounds. The evacuation of the soldier to Israel for treatment was delayed for more than an hour due to heavy fire exchanges in the place and he received initial treatment on the scene.

This death is the direct result of liberalism run amok. Ehud Olmert, and the majority Israeli public who tragically voted this impotent leftist into office after Sharon destroyed Gaza Jewry, all have blood on their hands right now. For once, let's hope they actually learn their lesson about making boneheaded "good will gestures" to the Pseudostinians. I fear the worst is yet to come.
