Quick thoughts before Shabbos

Barack Hussein Obama, the half-black, half-moslem, half-socialist, half-PLO, half-Bill Ayers, half-Reverend Wright, half-infanticidist, half-ACORNist, half-term senator, half-American with a half-brother starving in Kenya, is going to be the next President of the United States.

Yeah, I guess you could say that is one historic combination.

Israel is getting set for elections, and zzzzzzzzzzz....oh, sorry, let's look at the candidates.

1. Tzippi Livni, Kadima: Concessionist dove wants to expel all the Jews living outside the green line, and make Jerusalem the capital of a shiny new Arab state.

2. Bibi Netanyahu, Likud: Tough talking former PM wants to expel all the Jews living outside the green line, and make Jerusalem the capital of a shiny new Arab state (if they promise to stop being terrorists, of course!).

3. Ehud Barak, Labor: Leftwing former PM, and current DM, wants to expel all the Jews living outside the green line, and make Jerusalem the capital of a shiny new Arab state.

Great choices. Can't wait to see who wins.

Sarah Palin is hanged in effigy and the police insist it is freedom of speech. Barack Obama is hanged in effigy and two college students are arrested for stoking hatred. Naaahh, no double standard there, gang.

Israel this week arrested rightwing nationalist Noam Federman "just because", then demolished his house twice. The reason for this incarceration, of course, is that he is guilty of advocating against the Israeli government's plans to expel the Jews from there homes in Judea/Samaria, and his aiding and abetting Jews who defend themselves against the attacks of terrorist arabs.

Meanwhile, the home of the terrorist arab who committed the bulldozer murders in Jerusalem still stands as a proud shrine to islamic terror.

Yep, makes sense to me.

I cannot understand why Jews don't celebrate Purim. Every Jew I know who isn't religious fully dresses up, drinks, and celebrates pointless, pagan Halloween, but will not get dressed up, drink and celebrate Purim. Why not? It is a celebration with real meaning commemorating when the Jews were saved from extermination by the great heroism of Mordechai and Esther.

Barak wants to "eradicate" settlers

Once again, we see the evil Jewish Settlers are being targeted by peace loving leftists who just want to make the world a better place. Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak (Obama) is one of those keenly perceptive socialists who realize that the best way to make peace with the arabs is to eradicate all the Jews who dare live in areas of Israel the arabs want exclusively for themselves.

The Defense Minister based his moves on his view that a small group of nationalists "attempt to challenge government authority [and that] the security establishment must counter and eradicate this phenomenon."

Of course, we all know that the peace loving Barak was the Prime Minister who offered to give away 97% of all the land Israel won from Jordan following the 6 day war. Apparently, even though Arafat didn't want the "land for peace" deal and launched a deadly intifada to prove it, Barak is nontheless relentlessly determined to make the arabs take it anyway, even if it means wiping out every last Jew who lives there to get it done.

Of course, we all know Barak is only eradicating the Jews for their own good. After all, if he doesn't destroy them first the moslems may just may kidnap them, kill them, and hold their corpses for ransom. This way, by cutting to the chase and violently exterminating the Jewish presence it saves Israel ransom money and prevents them from having to release for terrorist arabs from jail.

Obama: Supreme Court must impose socialism

No joke. In this 2001 PBS radio interview, the Messiah chastises the very liberal Warren Supreme Court for not going far enough with civil rights in the 60's, saying imposing laws requiring the redistribution of wealth as a means to guarantee economic equality should be made a constitutional right.

OBAMA: You know, if you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the courts, I think where it succeeded was to get formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples — so that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at a lunch counter and order, and as long as I was able to pay for it I’d be OK. But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society.

And to that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren Court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties.

It says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted. And one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, because the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which to bring about redistributive change. And in some ways we still suffer from that.

Welcome to the United Socialists of America, gang. By the time Obama's presidency is done, we will make France look right wing. The American people want socialism? Well, they'll sure get a big dose of it now...Marx must be smiling ear-to-ear from his grave.

An analysis of the McCain campaign

We all know John McCain is behind in the polls and barely hanging onto relevance as a candidate. With that in mind, here is MZ's list of reasons why McCain's campaign has sputtered and failed to generate excitement and enthusiasm.

1. He is deeply mistrusted by the conservatives in the GOP because of his RINO history. McCain might want to brag in speeches and debates about how often he goes against conservatives to advance liberal legislation, but that only hurts him further with his base who feels that open, festering wound open up after he reminds them of his "bi-partisanship" and "reaching across the aisle".

Sarah Palin helped excite many on the right, but McCain's reluctance in letting her speak out without his approved script soured some of that enthusiasm and brought back doubts about McCain's credentials as a true conservative. Many would rather have her at the top of the ticket and see McCain just go away.

2. Moderates, who tend to vote Republican but have liberal views on abortion, were outraged by his choice of Sarah Palin as VP. She divided the pro-choice fiscal conservatives who were enthusiastic about McCain's willingness to reach across the aisle, but now believe he compromised his position as a trusted moderate who wouldn't pander to the right.

3. McCain outraged fiscal conservatives who strongly disagreed with the bloated, socialist, $850 billion bailout plan, and counted on him to fight the excessive spending bill from being enacted. Instead, McCain rubber stamped the Pelosi/Reid/Frank bill and lost a golden opportunity to distance himself from both Bush and Obama in the process.

When McCain suspended his campaign to take on the bailout plan it was widely believed among conservatives that he would side with the rebel republicans and democrats who opposed giving almost a trillion dollars of tax payer money to the government which was so responsible for this mess to begin with. What they got instead was a silent follower of big government that sold out his GOP House members that were fighting against this massive spending plan.

4. McCain's refusal to attack Obama's long term religious connections to anti-Semitic/anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright, and his disturbing political ties to William Ayers confounded angry GOP supporters who wanted to see Obama ripped apart for these ties.

McCain finally has tacitly mentioned Ayers, but without any real aggression or enthusiasm. He still won't even mention Reverend Wright's name, and barely has brought up Obama's ties to Acorn or his shady dealings with Rezco. He also has rejected the opportunity to point out the affirmative action lending policies that led to this crisis were the fault of Democrats, who used a lethal combination of social engineering with political kickbacks to drive the sub-prime lending market into the ground.

5. McCain just doesn't seem to have any message beyond "Maverick", "Bi-partisanship", and "Taking on his own party". Look, no matter how you cut it, there is no chance that McCain can be more anti-republican than Obama.

Running a post-republican campaign might sound nice in a time when the Republican party is more unpopular than normal, but he needs to understand that all he will accomplish by doing this throwing the GOP, and himself, under the bus.

Conclusion

In spite of all this, McCain is statistically only about 5 points down in the national polling averages. Joe the Plumber is helping him reconnect with many of these angry voters who want representation, and if McCain can stop crapping on his own party between now and election day he still has a remote chance at stealing a long shot win.

I'm holding out for the next two weeks to see if he can still earn my vote.

Joe the Plumber to the rescue?

Quite possibly, the floundering McCain campaign may have received the jolt it needed to get into the race by the most unlikely of sources. Joe Wurzelbacher, a middle class plumber from Ohio, nailed Obama by using the "S" word that McCain is too terrified to use himself.

YES, he called The Messiah a Socialist.

DIANE SAWYER, HOST: If people making $250,000 should not be taxed additionally -- it's, by the way, three percent, from 36 percent to 39 percent under Sen. Obama's plan -- if those people should not be taxed additionally, even though they're in the top five percent of America, what about people who make a million dollars or five million dollars?

JOE WURZELBACHER, PLUMBER: Well, I mean, quite honestly, why should they be penalized for being successful? That's what you're telling me, that's what it sounds like you're saying. It's wrong. I mean, because you're successful, you have to pay more than everybody else. I mean, we all live in this country, you know, I mean it's a basic right. And Obama wants to take that basic right and penalize me for it is what it comes down to. I mean, that's a very socialist view, and it's incredibly wrong. I mean, if it's $250,000 now, what if he decides, "Well, $150,000 you're pretty rich, too. Let's go ahead and lower it again." You know, it's a slippery slope. When's it going to stop?

Yes, Joe the Plumber will be torn apart by Obama's Media, and we can soon expect to learn that in the 8th grade he beat up a black kid, and then allegedly used the "N" word when he was in high school, but don't kid yourself: Average Joe Plumber has most certainly put the Messiah and his media allies on serious backpeddle. This is just what the Palin/McCain ticket needed to get back into the race, though I suspect we'll soon find RINO McCain denouncing Plumber Joe as "divisive" as he "reaches accross the aisle" to shake the hand of Bill Ayers in "true bipartisan fashion".

Vote for Palin, NOT McCain

I will not vote for John McCain. He is simply not representative of my beliefs and values, plus I see his campaign's complete lack of organization and definitive message being a clear statement that he is simply not FIT to be president.

Let's examine how bad McCain's campaign has become.

#1. He claims to be a fiscal conservative who will fight wasteful spending and government excesses. So, what does he do to show he's serious? He rubberstamps the biggest porky pig bill of socialism ever seen, also known as the "BAILOUT", and smirks sheepishly with a vacant, detatched expression of weakness when confronted.

#2. He bans ANY references from his campaign to Reverend Wright, refuses to personally attack Obama's ties to William Ayers, and then castigates his OWN SUPPORTERS when they say they don't want a terrorist sympathizer to be president. Going so far as to suggest "Obama is a good and decent family man who we have nothing to fear."

#3. He pretends he never heard of Obama's pro-infanticide position. Not one word from him about his rejection of the Born Alive Bill that was passed unanimously by the senate, and nearly unanimously in the house. Infaniticide rights is NOT a position that most Americans are sympathetic to, yet NO word from LEFTY JOHN about it?

#4. Ever hear of ACORN or LaRaza, John? You would't think so seeing his lame and pathetic campaign that never makes mention of them. Why not point out these corrupt, leftist organizations at least once, John? Oh, that's right, you are not going to do anything to the left but kiss their f-cking ass.

No, I cannot - and WILL not - support John McCain for president. I reject his candidacy, and will not vote for him on election day. He is a RINO who refuses to fight for anything conservatives believe in. He sells us out in a heartbeat to kiss the ass of the Dems who he's always trying desperately to impress.

Sarah Palin, on the other hand, has proven herself to be a true and worthy future power in the party. Forget the Curic interview, she gives great speeches, is a top debater, looks great, and is very good in interviews when McCain gets out of her way and lets her speak as herself.

Here are some words from Sarah this week on the campaign trail that will ring true to all of us on the right who think Obama's postion on infaniticide is INHUMAN.

Says Sarah: "In this same spirit, as defenders of the culture of life, John McCain and I believe in the goodness and potential of every innocent life. I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and speak for themselves. And who is more vulnerable, or more innocent, than a child?

When I learned that my son Trig would have special needs, I had to prepare my heart for the challenges to come. At first I was scared, and Todd and I had to ask for strength and understanding. But I can tell you a few things I’ve learned already.

Yes, every innocent life matters. Everyone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to the world, if we give them that chance. There are the world’s standards of perfection … and then there are God’s, and these are the final measure. Every child is beautiful before God, and dear to Him for their own sake.

As for our beautiful baby boy, for Todd and me, he is only more precious because he is vulnerable. In some ways, I think we stand to learn more from him than he does from us. When we hold Trig and care for him, we don’t feel scared anymore. We feel blessed.

It’s hard to think of many issues that could possibly be more important than who is protected in law and who isn’t – who is granted life and who is denied it. So when our opponent, Senator Obama, speaks about questions of life, I listen very carefully.

I listened when he defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions. He said that a woman shouldn’t have to be – quote – “punished with a baby.” He said that right here in Johnstown –“punished with a baby” – and it’s about time we called him on it. The more I hear from Senator Obama, the more I understand why he is so vague and evasive on the subject. Americans need to see his record for what it is. It’s not negative or mean-spirited to talk to about his record. Whatever party you belong to, there are facts you need to know.

Senator Obama has voted against bills to end partial-birth abortion. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation against that practice. Senator Obama opposed that bill. He voted against it in committee, and voted “present” on the Senate floor. In that legislature, “present” is how you vote when you’re against something, but don’t want to be held to account. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a Democrat, described partial-birth abortion as “too close to infanticide.” Barack Obama thinks it’s a constitutional right, but he is wrong.

Most troubling, as a state senator, Barack Obama wouldn’t even stand up for the rights of infants born alive during an abortion. These infants – often babies with special needs – are simply left to die.

In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for those babies who survive an abortion. They’re living, breathing babies, but Senator Obama describes them as “pre-viable.” This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law. Obama voted against it.

Asked about this vote, Senator Obama assured a reporter that he’d have voted “yes” on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Act. There’s just one little problem with that story: the language of both the state and federal bills was identical.

In short, Senator Obama is a politician who has long since left behind even the middle ground on the issue of life. He has sided with those who won’t even protect a child born alive. And this exposes the emptiness of his promises to move beyond the “old politics.”

In both parties, Americans have many concerns to be weighed in the votes they cast on November fourth. In times like these, with wars and a financial crisis, it’s easy to forget even as deep and abiding a concern as the right to life. And it seems our opponent hopes that you will forget. Like so much else in his agenda, he hopes you won’t notice how radical his ideas and record are until it’s too late.

But let there be no misunderstanding about the stakes.

A vote for Barack Obama is a vote for activist courts that will continue to smother the open and democratic debate we need on this issue, at both the state and federal level. A vote for Barack Obama would give the ultimate power over the issue of life to a politician who has never once done anything to protect the unborn. As Senator Obama told Pastor Rick Warren, it’s above his pay grade.

For a candidate who talks so often about “hope,” he offers no hope at all in meeting this great challenge to the conscience of America. There is a growing consensus in our country that we can overcome narrow partisanship on this issue, and bring all the resources of a generous country to the aid of both women in need and the child waiting to be born. We need more of the compassion and idealism that our opponent’s own party, at its best, once stood for. We need the clarity and conviction of leaders like the late Governor Bob Casey.

He represented a humanity that speaks to all of us – no matter what our party, our background, our faith, or our gender. And no matter your position on this sensitive subject, I hope that spirit will guide you on Election Day. I ask you to vote for McCain-Palin on the November fourth, and help us to bring this country together in the rational discussion of compassion and life.”
